dc.description.abstractThis report presents the activities and experiences from a five-month internship conducted in alignment with the ARU 2023/2024 objectives, as outlined in Chapter One. The internship spanned from June 1st, 2024, to October 20th, 2024, and was conducted in Tweyanze and Soborwa Villages within Kyaterekera Sub County, Kagadi District. During this period, the intern collaborated with political and local leaders of Kyaterekera Sub County, the Epicenter Manager, Supervisor, schools, and community members. Chapter Two of the report reviews relevant literature on factors that influenced the ARU Internship, including the Sustainable Development Goals, Africa Agenda 2063, and Uganda Vision 2040. Chapter Three details the methods and tools utilized by the intern over the course of the internship to achieve the objectives described in Chapter One. To facilitate mobilization and community engagement, the intern applied techniques such as the Visionary Approach, Community Action Planning, Participatory Action Research, the Structural Tension Chart, Frames of the Creative Process, and home visits. Tools like markers, flip charts, and a phone camera were also employed. Chapter Four presents and discusses the results, detailing activities and actions taken to achieve specific outcomes at the individual, family, group, and community levels in alignment with the 2023/2024 internship objectives as indicated in Chapter One. The intern actively engaged in Community Development (CD) and other activities, as discussed in Chapter Four, focusing on promoting sanitation and fostering rural transformationen_US
