End of Year Two Field Attachment One Report Conducted in Buseesa Community Development Organization, Buseesa Village, Matale Sub-County, Kibaale District

Abstract

This is a of a one-month field attachment. The field attachment was carried out in accordance with the 2022/2023 one-month filed attachment objectives. This practicum started in September 25th 2023 and ended in October 28th 2023. It was carried out In Buseesa Community Development Organization (BCDO) Which Is Located in Buseesa Trading Centre, Matale Sub-County, Kibaale District, Mid-western Uganda along Kakumiro-Kibaale Road. The intern worked closely with the farm manager and farm workers, Epicenter Manager, community members. The methods used were: visionary approach, and Participatory Action Research while the skills gained by the intern include skills on vegetables growing, macro banana propagation, fish farming, piggery, goats management, poultry rearing, skills of managing biogas system, fruits management specifically oranges(citrus) and the key results created by the intern student include; improved sanitation by practicing waste management at the farm, improved health by facilitating the process of establishing sacks gardens in households, improved human health and soil fertility by facilitating organic farming and economic empowerment by designing a leaving document that is the work plan to guide the running of the family business
