    Abstract
    This is a report of a one-month field attachment 1. The field attachment was carried in Kibaale District, Mid-western Uganda along Kakumiro-Kibaale Road, particularly in Buseesa Community Development Organization (BCDO), which is located in Buseesa trading Centre, Matale Sub County. The apprentice worked closely with the farm manager, farm workers, and community members in accordance with the 2023/2024 one-month filed attachment objectives. The activities started on 4th august 2024 and ended on 5th September 2024. The methods used to study were: visionary approach, and Participatory Action Research interviewing, documentation, observation, exposure to realities of the field and, putting hands on practical work. While the tools used were, a note book, manila papers, a smartphone, pens and markers. The skills gained by the apprentice include skills on ;Urban vegetable growing, Farm layout and planning(the designing and arrangement of the structures, road network ,water sources and systems),, piggery with special emphasis on IMO structure, goats management, poultry rearing, biogas technology ,farmer education and advisory service provision, the use of ethno medicine/traditional medicine in livestock, pasture establishment and management skills, nursery bed establishment and management, brooder management, bio security standardization, waste management, tri-cycle riding skill, and management and community mobilization skills. The key results created by the intern student include;01cone and 30sack gardens established, leveling and gravelling of the farm area ,construction of drainage system/water ways, repair and innovation of animal structures(pig sty and goats shade),installation of one water harvesting tank,50 goats tagged and dewormed,02 goats castrated ,concrete floor constructed under goats shade,700 chicks vaccinated against New castle disease,1500 birds vaccinated against fowl typhoid,30 birds de beaked, poultry house innovated, Biogas system operated ,10 members of the skilling team trained on poultry disease management and vaccination schedule, herbal medicine made and used to treat New castle disease in poultry, herbal medicinal plants(aloevera,chrismass Mellon, Russian comfrey and chili pepper planted around the farm, 05 legume pasture species(lablab, green leaf desmodium, alfalfa,centrosema and calliandra)established, 03 pasture grasses managed (elephant grass, Congo grass and Rhodes grass.) ,04 vegetable nursery beds established and seedlings planted in cone garden and sack mountain gardens, 01 brooder prepared, 9 isolation poultry unit activated, disinfecting points maintained, special shoes for use in poultry house put in place, concrete floor under goats shade constructed,tri cycle riding skills acquired, CAP conducted and community vision drawn.
