This Report shows what transpired during the one-month Practicum in Nyakabira village, Kahunde parish, Isunga Sub County. The Practicum was carried out in line with the 2022/2023 one-month Interns’ Practicum Objectives as listed in Chapter one.
The Practicum was carried out in Nyakabira village, Kahunde parish, Isunga Sub County, Kagadi District, Mid-Western Uganda. The Intern worked closely with the local leaders, Epicenter Manager, Community Members and the host family during a one-month Practicum. The Method Used was: Visionary Approach, based on Community Action Planning, Participatory Action Research and Structural Tension Chart Planning Framework.
The key results created by the Intern included; Boasting back home projects both at the host family and other neighboring households through training them in making organic pesticides and fertilizers, making organic treatment for chicken for preventing and curing Coccidiosis, introduced Vermiculture for high farm yields, participated in council and community Meetings both at Community and Sub County level, The Intern also taught the family and Group members appropriate technologies and these are: how to make herbal soap, charcoal briquettes, banana propagation, water purification and making shoe polish and introduced Visionary Approach both at host family, institutions , groups and Community lev
